The participating bands who made it through to the final were, Deadfire, Catalysis, From Tyranny, Cerberon, Good Human and Inferiem, who all played their fingers to the bone and performed with maximum flamboyancy and zeal, throwing down ferocious sets which displayed the best of all their abilities. From my perspective everyone is a winner as they take from the experience of conducting professional performances and delivering their utmost. There was a mass of coverage to this event, so there is plenty of footage floating about the internet, and I am stocked to say that I managed to capture all the bands in my photographic frame which readers can find the entire batch of photos for viewing over on Gobophotography/Revelrousers, Facebook social media page.
First band I would like to highlight from the night was the uncontrollable Deadfire who I thoroughly enjoyed capturing in my frame, this band vehemently kicked, punched & writhed their way energetically through their beasting rock/metal set and I was struck by their jack-daniels swiggin, bluesy/rock sound foundation, not to mention their unwavering raucousness. The band provided heaps of groove-laden guitar technique and really set the room on fire with their uncompromising performance style. I also, couldn’t help but notice the lead protagonist’s message of, “Why So Serious? carved into his arm… 🤪

Dundee based Metallers Catalysis is by far an outstanding outfit who has always grabbed my attention from the outset. Forming in 2016 the band have crafted their sound with exceptional professionalism and have gone through transitions to establish their passion in perfecting their heavy, groove-laden sound, and have consistently managed to display power, velocity and superb technical skill in their live show performances… 💪

Glaswegian Metallers From Tyranny threw down a diverse sound as they pull together a plethora of metal influences crossing a varied selection of sub-genre styles in metal.

This 5-piece provided bolder sized riffage, intricate lead guitar melodies, and furiously soaring vocals. I was especially impressed by the style and confidence of the lead guitarist whose exceptionally dextrous dynamic really brought a stabilizing flair and edge to their performance as the outfit gave absolutely everything they got, triggering a huge mosh on the floor. An exceptional band who are destined to fly high. The band’s next appearance is in Forres at Eagles Bar for ForressFest. June 8th. Check out one of their live show performances in Audio Glasgow a few months back….

Next up was Cerberon supreme nonstop, old school heavy metal….

Aberdeenshire, Progressive/Deathcore band, GoodHuman provided a kick-ass set at the Metal To The Masses grand finale. Providing deep penetrating growls, combined with fast-melodic, complex guitar riffage and rolling tightknit baselines. The progressive nature of their playing is very stimulating providing many twists and turns. Their energy most certainly spilled out all over the venue in a rambunctious cascade. The band has their debut self-titled EP available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and Bandcamp for your demented pleasure….
